From then on there was nothing we couldn’t accomplish:- helping out
with District Scout and Explorer Scout activities including the
annual swimming gala and cycle camp, running wide games for local
troops, writing and filming own short films, campfires, cycle rides,
games nights, pioneering projects and giving presentations at County
meetings and Leader Training sessions. We have even dismantled a
garage and used it to construct a wooden horse on wheels which we
then paraded through the streets, dressed as Romans as part of the
Wilton Carnival! We also helped man the Scout Association's Mobile
Display Unit when it came to Salisbury Market Square for St George's
Day last year.

Our members have travelled to the far corners of
the world, one to China and the far east, two helping Scouts on a
trip to Salisbury, North Carolina USA, two members assisted District
Explorers at the Nederlands Nationale Jamboree, we've run two
brilliant ski trips to Andorra, and the secretary went to Hollywood
to film the stars for a documentary series!
Enthusiasm has not waned since then, and our programme over
the last year reflects this. From the daring go-carting and climbing
to the more leisurely beach walks and video nights our members have
been contented and very happy with the friendly atmosphere we have
created. As new members have joined, so a new square has been added
to the patchwork of success that is the Sarum Scout Network.
