About the Sarum Scout Network

.

Sarum is the ancient name for Salisbury, heralding back to Old Sarum, the castle fort north of the modern city. We formed in 2002 after the sad but necessary demise of Venture Scouting. Network is the name for the 18-25 section of Scouting, and as such are potentially the most exciting & adventurous section - and of course can meet down the pub! (which of course never happened as Venture Scouts!)

.

.

The Sarum Network is now the largest and most active unit of the Wiltshire Scout Network, if not the South West of England. We meet every week, run a diverse programme, including overnight, weekend and longer expeditions and events. Our members include students, company directors, professional photographers, lecturers, market gardeners, carers, engineers, managers, ground staff and shop assistants. So quite a diverse group, which makes our meetings even more interesting & enjoyable.
