    Snow has been very good this first week in Andorra, allowing some great first runs for beginners & exceptional skiing for those who've been before. Geoff & Trevor have led the way down black runs & off piste this week, while John, Chucky, Euan, Simon & Mark have made up the next group working on advanced control and confidence at speed, and all the others working up to there from almost absolute beginners!

     Again this year we've been amazed at the progress of our new skiers, particularly Dan & Sarah who have gone from complete novices to blue and even slower red runs in only seven days! We have all enjoyed a few days in the resorts Ski School, which while a few were initially reluctant all now agree were very useful & great fun!

    This week has seen the arrival of Amy & Sam from Gloucestershire who have only skied on dry slopes before, but are extremely keen & itching to get on real snow! We haven't had any new snow since mid last week so later this week we are planning on taking a few trips to the slightly snowier Ordino Arcalis ski area in the North West of Andorra which always provides wonderful skiing if the snow is not it's best here in Soldeu.

   Oh yes, we have had one injury this week. Mr Cameraman John took a tumble after a fairly intense lesson on Wednesday, which unluckily resulted in a sprained ankle! How he managed to do this inside a properly fastened ski boot no-one can work out! Still, it has given him more time to do the paperwork, and update certain websites..

     This trip will be the fifth time the Sarum Network have taken to the pistes in Andorra over the past few years, and in 2008 we'd like to invite YOU & your Network to join us for the biggest and best trip yet!

We have run five trips to the region in the past, all of which have been a great success, so we would like to invite YOU, your unit and leaders to join us for THE big Network / Scouter trip abroad in 2008!
