| To date, £400,000 has been raised towards the £525,000 target for the Potterne Building Project. This has been largely due to the efforts of Robin and Phyllis Fewings who have collectively secured grants and donations from a wide range of sources. The response from Districts and Groups is slowly coming in and to date £3,751 has been received which is much appreciated. In addition, £7,714 has been received from the 1st Purton and Lydiard Scout Group as a result of their annual November bonfire and firework display. It is hoped that every Group in the County will contribute at least £100 to the fund. After all we all potentially can benefit from the new facilities that will be provided. Although County representatives have visited every District in the County to explain the Potterne Building Project, it could be that the fund raising requirement has not got through to the County. Therefore the object of this web entry is explain what is planned in the hope it will bring a better response. Time is short! It is necessary to be assured of meeting the fund raising target by the end of December for the works to commence early in the New Year.
