contact them on 01795 426465 for their catalogue.
Are you aware that the ARMY has people called ASOL's (based at their main Recruiting
Offices - see local Yellow Pages for info) who organise FREE adventure wekend/talks
for 14+ groups (OK OK its a way for them to try and recruit - so what's wrong
with that!) I tried my local one and I got shedloads of mapping and expedition
training materials - well presented and suitable for Scout age. They may be
out of stock now but try it - don't ask - don't get! Some of the materials I
got where even great for ready to go - wide games (leadership skills stuff)!!!
For Royal Navy - they have Phys Education Program - great stuff - each kid gets
a logbook, you get a ready to run (sic) program - and it cost me nothing apart
from a few phone calls!! If you have any problem, ask a teacher to get you the
stuff - the company who sends out the stuff occasionally insists that it's sent
to a school and most are gathering dust! Trouble in the education sector with
any military connotation is that it's viewed with some suspicion?
BP have a great "Climate Change" Interactive CD game - great for team challenges
with an environmental flavour - contact them on bpes@bp.com
for details. Suitable for CSA / Explorers & Netwrok only!
