Cyclist
Badge 2007 - Training Session 3
Eight intrepid Scouts working towards their Cyclist
Badge. To complete the badge we are required to undertake a number of
training rides and practical sessions on bike maintenance, map reading
and navigation before undertaking a final off road bike ride of at least
30 kilometres (20 miles). These pictures are from the third training session
which included some impromptu field repairs for three blown out tyres
after we learned why we don't ride over thorny bushes:) |

Troop
Camp 2006
This year we held our summer camp at Buddens
Farm in Dorset. In addition to taking part in various activities on
site we had day trips to Brownsea Island, Bovington Tank Museum and
Splashdown in Poole. A number of us were also able to complete our
Outdoor and Outdoor Plus Challenge badges during the camp. We also
invested our latest troop member on Brownsea Island - an experience
we're sure he will remember for the rest of his scouting career. |

Braggers
Wood - May Group Camp 2006
In late May 60 Scouts, Cubs and Leaders from
the 2nd Marlborough Group went to Braggers Woodfor our annual Group
Camp. During the week-end we all had a go at climbing/abseiling, honed
our team and leadership skills on a number of problem solving activities
and hiked our way across some of the New Forest. We also tried our
hand at building bivouacs, with a few of us even opting to sleep out
in them all night! |
